Twitter Blue Users Will Get ‘Prioritized Rankings In Conversations’

Micro-blogging social platform – Twitter has revised the list of features for its $8 per month service, Twitter Blue, stating that users will now get “prioritized rankings in conversations” and the opportunity to post video content of up to 60 minutes in length.

Elon Musk, the owner and Chief Twit of Twitter, has long claimed to increase the visibility of Twitter Blue users on the platform. He said in November that users would receive “Priority in responses, mentions & search, which is vital to prevent spam/scam,” and the business reiterated this guarantee earlier this month, stating that Twitter Blue will provide “priority ranking in search, mentions, and replies.”

These priority replies are already functional, according to the company update to Twitter Blue’s support page, although this makes no mention of priority in mentions or searches. The only explanation provided by the company for how the feature functions are that it “prioritizes your replies on Tweets that you interact with.”

However, it most likely means that Twitter will now take into account whether the user has paid for Blue in addition to other obvious considerations like the time the tweet was written and its popularity when determining how to organize answers to a Tweet. Although others have expressed concern that paying for priority would also provide malicious actors with a simple way to enhance their messages, Twitter support stated earlier this month that the function was meant to ultimately reduce the visibility of fraud, spam, and bots.

Twitter Blue customers can now upload video content of up to 60 minutes long, 2GB in size, and 1080p resolution in addition to receiving prioritized replies. This function is only accessible via the web, and Twitter warns that depending on the viewer’s internet connection’s speed and reliability, it may be necessary to change “the resolution and bitrate of the original video while streaming.” In addition, bookmark folders, a reader interface for lengthy threads, and the ability to immediately “undo” tweets are now available to Blue subscribers.

View counts for tweets from all users is a function that was recently added by Twitter.
